HP 7 Plus Android Tablet Launched in the US for $100

Looks like HP has finally learned a lesson or two from their previous launch of slate 7 tablet last year which while having mediocre specifications was ridiculously priced at $169, and as estimated by experts didn’t do very well in the market. Now HP has come up with a strategy of aggressive pricing with it’s latest offering HP 7 Plus which is a 7 inch Android tablet offering specification that can be justified with a price of just $100.

HP 7 Plus is a WiFi-only tablet with a 7-inch  (1024 × 600 pixels) multi touch LED backlit IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor. 1GB RAM and sails on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel fixed focus rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Tablet offers 8GB of internal storage and comes with a microSD slot for memory expansion. It packs a 2800 mAh battery. It also comes with 25GB of free lifetime storage with cloud storage service Box and includes Kingsoft Office software.

For a $100 tablet with Quad Core processor, the specs are quite decent. Here’s the run down of the specs:

The HP 7 Plus comes in White color and can be bought from HP.com for $100. As of yet there is no word on the global availability of the tablet.
